In this article, we profile the 50 most affordable private colleges for online master's in human resource management degree programs of 2018.

According to the United States Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of human resources managers is on the rise. In fact, by 2026, HR management occupations are expected to increase by nine percent, which is faster than most other jobs. To accommodate this growth, online master's programs in human resources are now being offered at some of the nation's top private schools.

We reviewed approximately 103 private colleges and universities with online master's in human resource management or closely related degree programs. We narrowed our pool of schools by including only those institutions that had received regional or national accreditation by reputable governing bodies. We also included schools with graduate tuition and fees under $30,000 per year, as listed by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) College Navigator. In addition to the above indicators, we attempted to include only schools or programs that had received recognition from major publications like U.S. News and World Report. We then listed the schools in order of raw affordability.
